Dressed in a salmon pink gown, Cocktail actress Diana Penty marched down the ramp looking elegant at the second day of Wills India Fashion Week (WIFW) Sunday for designer Sakshee Pradhan, who took inspiration from “little sparrows”. She enjoyed flaunting the outfit with little detailing because “the dress is very me”.

The 26-year-old, who started her career as a model and then got into acting with Cocktail looked confident and was a treat for shutterbugs.

The show was jam-packed with friends and family of designer cheering for and she said: “It was great walking the ramp but I was very nervous. The dress I am wearing is very me. I really like it. I don’t like a lot of bling. I like classy stuff.”

Pradhan presented a range of silhouettes in the collection with a chic and edgy look.

“The inspiration behind the collection is that little sparrow, who had to set off her wings to migrate from the frost into a land far away, has now returned to enjoy breezy summers of 2013,” said Pradhan, who has a masters in fashion designing and merchandising from London College of Fashion.

The fabrics used were flowy crepes, satins and nets in salmon pink merging with the subtle champagne.

Pradhan shared the ramp with three other designers – Surbhi Chawla presented The Indian Gypsy collection, Taniya Khanuja mesmerised with an ensemble titled Flight of the Wingless Soul; and Khushi Z too flaunted her creation. Delhi: Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013, that sparked off in the capital Saturday, saw a star-studded second day. The ramp played host to an array of designs – ranging from classic to contemporary, ethnic to modern and gave rise to an altogether different phenomenon.
Diana Penty, vivacious and exceedingly charming, sashayed down the ramp for designer Sakshee Pradhan. And whether the designer`s creation made the actress look like a dream or whether the actress made the creation appear so desirable – is a realm that better not be delved into!

Actor and former model Diana Penty has always had a good skin care and make-up regime.

“Drinking lots of water keeps my skin glowing. A balanced diet is also a must,” she says. “I follow a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturising and ensure that I remove my make-up before
sleeping.”

Being the brand ambassador of Maybelline New York has allowed her to understand make-up and assess products correctly.

“A lash curler, tinted lip balm, cheek tint and the brand’s BB Cream and Colossal Kajal are always in my bag. They can transform your look from day to night,” reveals Diana.

The charitable Mijwan Fashion Show that supports Shabana Azmi’s father, late Kaifi Azmi’s initiative to support the Mijwan village was flooded with celebrities. Diana looked amazingly gorgeous as she floated effortlessly on the runway. I’ve added some images from the event to the gallery.

Diana Penty rubbishes reports of her demanding a whopping 2 crore for an endorsement.

“It’s not true,” she says. The actor has taken time off post her debut film, Cocktail.

“I have been on a break post Cocktail. I was very involved in the film, so I decided to take some time off post its release,” she says.
